Chelsea have announced Islam Feruz has joined Hibs on-loan.

Feruz, 19, joined the Blues in 2011 from Scottish champions Celtic for a fee of £300,000.

However, he has failed to make a single first-team appearance for Jose Mourinho's side and has spent the duration of his Chelsea career out on loan.

"Islam Feruz has today (Tuesday) joined Hibernian on loan until the end of the season," a statement on the Blues official website said.

"The 19-year-old striker will spend the campaign at the Edinburgh club who play in the Scottish Championship."
