Celta Vigo have clinched an agreement for Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu.

AS says only the method of payment for Romeu's fee remains to be settled betweeen the two clubs. Romeu was on the bench for yesterday's defeat to Wolves.

The former Barcelona and Valencia midfielder will return to LaLiga for a fee of €10m.

The 28 year-old has also agreed to take a cut on his Saints wages to smooth negotiations and help the deal along.

Celta coach Oscar Garcia hopes to have Romeu available for the midweek Copa del Rey tie with Mirandes.
