DONE DEAL: Carlos Vicens leaving Man City to take charge of Heracles Almelo

Carlos Vicens is leaving Manchester City to become new coach of EredivisieHeracles Almelo.

City assistant coach Vicens leaves for Holland, having been on the bench for their Champions League defeat at Real Madrid in midweek.

"Carlos has made everything very simple and very clear for the players," Guardiola himself recognised just a few days ago, who has seen how his team scored 18 goals from set pieces this season, City's best record since the 2013/14 season.

Vicens originally joined City in 2017 to work in the academy before eventually being promoted to Guardiola's senior panel.

He led City to an FA Youth Cup triumph during his time in charge.
