Released Watford midfielder Carlos Sanchez has returned home to Colombia.

The 35 year-old former Aston Villa ace has signed with Santa Fe.

Sánchez made nine appearances for Watford in the Championship last season, where he helped secure the club promotion to the Premier League.

Prior to joining Watford in the spring, he had been without a club for just over half a season after his contract with West Ham expired in the summer of 2020.

In addition, the midfielder was with Elche and Espanyol, Fiorentina, Valenciennes and Villa.
