DONE DEAL: Cardiff sign Leeds defender Cody Drameh

Cardiff City have signed Leeds United defender Cody Drameh on loan for the rest of the season.

Drameh, 20, has made three Premier League appearances in 2021-22 and featured as a substitute in Leeds' FA Cup defeat at West Ham last Sunday.

The right-back is an England Under-21 international who is also eligible for Gambia.

"I wanted to join because Cardiff City is a great club, first of all," Drameh told the club's website.

Drameh, who joined Leeds on a four-year deal in 2020 after coming through the youth ranks at Fulham, added: "Everybody at the club seems to be really together, so hopefully I can be a part of that. I'm looking forward to showing people what I can bring to the table."

Drameh could make his Cardiff debut when they host Blackburn in the Championship on Saturday.

"Cody is joining us having been at the top of our list of players in that position that we'd have liked to bring in. I'm really pleased that we've managed to get it over the line," said Bluebirds boss Steve Morison.

Drameh has managed five Leeds appearances in total, having made his senior debut in an EFL Cup defeat at Arsenal in October 2021.
