Cagliari have clinched the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk wing-back Darijo Srna.

A statement on Cagliari's official website confirms Srna has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the option for a third.

The 36-year-old made over 500 appearances for Shakhtar and represented his country 134 times but has not played since last September due to a drug ban.

He becomes the Sardinians' second summer arrival after Rolando Maran, who was recently unveiled as their new Coach.
