Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer has joined Bristol City on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old spent the first season on loan at Blackburn, but struggled for playing time under Tony Mowbray.

City boss Johnson told the club's website: "I'm delighted we have been able to sign Kasey Palmer on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season and it's great to get this done so early in the window.

"Kasey is a very good player who can play through the middle and out wide; he can create openings as well as score goals and I'm excited about what he can bring to our squad.

"We've got 20 scheduled league games left, plus the FA Cup, and Kasey will be able to help us continue the momentum we have built."
