Bristol City have signed Chelsea fullback Jay Dasilva on a season-long loan.

The three-time FA Youth Cup winner in the last two seasons has gained experience in League One with Charlton Athletic.

Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: “I am very excited about what Jay will bring to the squad.

"He has already achieved a lot for such a young player and we believe in his ability to step up again in what is a tough and increasingly competitive league."

The Chelsea loanee becomes City's eighth recruit of the summer window, having completed the formalities on his deal in BS3 today (Thursday, August 9th).
