Brighton midfielder Alexis MacAllister has completed a loan move to Boca Juniors.

The 20-year-old arrived from Argentinos Juniors in January, before sealing a loan move back to the club for the rest of the season.

He impressed at Argentinos, with Boca showing an interest in the player this summer.

Now he has completed a loan move to gain more first team experience.

Brighton will evaluate MacAllister next summer to see if he is ready to integrate with their first team.

Technical director Dan Ashworth said to the club website about the transfer: "Alexis is an exciting young talent and he will continue his development for the next year in his homeland, with one of Argentina's biggest clubs, playing in the Argentine first division and South America's prestigious Copa Libertadores.

"We will continue to monitor his development over the 12-month period and review his position next summer."
