Premier League newcomers Brighton have beat off huge competition to secure the signing of wonderkid Steven Alzate from Leyton Orient.
The 18-year-old, who was attracting interests from up to nine clubs, made his senior debut last season and managed 12 League Two appearances last season.
Speaking to Brighton's club website, under-23s coach Simon Rusk said, "We are delighted to welcome Steven into the squad.
"He is someone who did well to break into the Leyton Orient first team from their academy last season, and adds a new dimension to our attacking options."
