Birmingham City youngster Calum Scanlon is on his way to Liverpool.
The Times says Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Scanlon in January. The Reds have had a bid, thought to be less than £500,000, accepted for the 15-year-old.
Scanlon, who can play on the left-side of defence or in midfield, will go straight into Liverpool's academy.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has ensured his team have a pathway for their youngsters with the likes of Curtis Jones, Neco Williams, Rhys Williams, Caoimhin Kelleher and Leighton Clarkson all featuring for the senior squad.
A number of injuries to first team players has afforded the academy graduates opportunities in the first team.
