Former Tottenham and Liverpool defender Steven Caulker has clinched a dream move to Fenerbahce.

Caulker joins the Turkish giants from Alanyaspor.

The defender has rebuilt his career in Turkey and is now set play alongside Mesut Ozil at Fener this season.

Besiktas vice-president Emre Kocadag admits they were also keen and defended losing Caulker to Fener this morning: "He was a free player as of the end of the year. We had a contact, but it did not happen for that period. That book was closed for us.

"He is already a player of the contracted to Fenerbahçe."
