Former Manchester City fullback Bacary Sagna has joined Benevento.

Sky Sport Italia says Sagna signed for Serie A's bottom side.

Sagna joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2007 and quickly established himself as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League.

He was twice named in the Team of the Year and won the FA Cup in his final season with the Gunners in 2014.

That year, he moved to Manchester City — and won the title in 2016.
