AZ Alkmaar have snapped up Manchester United midfielder Milan Baars.

United released the Dutch youngster earlier this season and he has been training with AZ in recent weeks.

After the successful trial spell, Baars has agreed terms to the end of the season to play for Jong AZ - the club's reserve-team.

Baars was tempted to United from Ajax in 2016, but at 19 never made a first team appearance with the English giants.

While with United, the winger also was capped by Holland at U19 level.
