Wojciech Szczesny has returned to AS Roma on loan from Arsenal.

The Polish goalkeeper will spend the 2016/17 season with the Italian club having impressed during last term's season-long stay.

Szczesny made 34 appearances as Roma finished third in Serie A and is delighted to be back with the Giallorossi as they chase their first league title since 2001.

"Yes, I'm very happy," he told the club's official website.

"Obviously after a good season last year, I knew there was a possibility of coming back and I was very happy that the coach wanted me.

"I'm delighted to be back and I hope we can improve on what we did last season and really give it a push for the Scudetto."
