Arsenal will cough up a compensation fee to sign Hertha Berlin defender Omar Rekik.
The younger brother of former Manchester City stopper Karim Rekik, Omar had agreed a move to the Gunners on deadline day in October, but paperwork failed to be completed before the summer window shut.
Instead, reports BILD, Rekik will join Arsenal in the coming days when the market reopens.
And it will mean Arsenal parting with around €600,000 to sign the young defender permanently.
Rekik will initially be registered with the U23 team, though has been assured he will be involved with the senior Gunners squad over the remainder of this season.
