Doncaster Rovers defender Jason Shackell will have a scan on his troublesome groin to help assess the problem.
The 26-year old was forced out of last weekend's away loss at Plymouth Argyle but the club is hopeful he can return for the vital clash with the high-flying QPR when the Championship returns after the international break next weekend.
"It all depends on what the scan shows as to how long Jason will be out," Rovers' physio John Dickens told The Star.
"If it's just inflammation then he could be back for the QPR game on Saturday week, but if he's got a slight tear then obviously he'll be out a bit longer."
