Doncaster Rovers are moving for Southampton striker Billy Sharp.

The Mirror says Doncaster supremo John Ryan is making a £850,000 bid to bring Billy Sharp home from Southampton.

Ryan is willing to pay heavily for the former Rovers hero to return and is trying to beat a handful of rivals to his signature.

Saints want £1.2million for Sharp, but the player is swaying towards a switch to the Yorkshire club where he made his name in past spells.
