Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders would love to sign free agent Pascal Chimbonda.
The former QPR and Tottenham defender watched Rovers' 1-1 draw against Hull on Tuesday night and Saunders confirmed after the match that he is hoping to agree a deal with the Frenchman.
"I haven't discussed the ins and outs yet but he's interested or else he wouldn't be here.
"I'm hopeful we can do something. To sign a player like him at this club would be a brilliant signing for us.
"He's only 30, he's gone for millions and millions of pounds to top clubs and if I can get him to Doncaster it will be brilliant for the club and it will help the rest of the players.
"He looks fit and is a class player and if I could get him in he would make such a difference to the whole club."
