DON'T DO IT! Chelsea hero Hasselbaink urges Chelsea keep Fabregas

Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has advised his former club against selling midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the summer transfer window.

The Spain international has only played a bit-part role under manager Antonio Conte this season and has been strongly linked with a summer exit.

However, Hasselbaink argues that the Blues can't allow a talented player like Fabregas to leave the club.

"I wouldn't like to see him go," Hasselbaink told talkSPORT's Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

"Chelsea don't have enough players like Fabregas.

"He's somebody who can open defences up, who is very good at giving the final pass and just creating.

"I know he hasn't played as much as he would have wanted, because Chelsea have had a really settled side this year.

"But I do see him playing a lot more next year if he stays because of the Champions League.

"Things can change all the time in football, so I do see him playing a lot more.

"I don't think Chelsea will let him go."
