Distin: Everton players upset for Fellaini

Everton's players are upset for Marouane Fellaini after hearing he is out for six months with an ankle injury.

Blues defender Sylvain Distin revealed how the players felt upon hearing the news of Fellaini's ankle injury. The Belgian requires surgery and will be ruled out for the rest of the season.

"We are all disappointed with the news about Fellaini," Distin told evertonTV. "He is a great guy and obviously a good footballer as well and he was important in the squad. But this is why we have a big squad - to prevent these kind of troubles.

"We have lots of players who can now get into the team but we are disappointed as Marouane is a great footballer."
