Dismal Arsenal completely 'disorganised' - Souness

Graeme Souness has blasted Arsenal for their subpar showing in the 3-1 loss to Monaco on Wednesday night.Arsene Wenger's Gunners outfit were outclassed by Leonardo Jardim's usually defensive-minded Monaco side in their Champions League Round of 16 clash at the Emirates Stadium which brought about plenty of criticism from pundits all over Europe.

Goals from Geoffrey Kondogbia, Dimitar Berbatov and Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco have placed Arsenal in a precarious position ahead of next month's return bout and it was all down to being completely unsystematic according to Liverpool great Souness.

"They were so, so disorganized," Souness said during the Sky Sports coverage of the encounter.

"Arsene Wenger keeps trying to create ultimate football, they have all these creative players that want to go forward but all successful teams have contrasting types of players, people who can break up the play and ease up the pressure.

"I've said it many times before that Arsenal are too easy to play against, an average European team has blown them away tonight."

For good measure, Souness added: "It's the first time I've not enjoyed a night at the Emirates watching Arsenal.

"There is nothing about tonight Arsenal can be happy with."
