But the 22-year-old insists the squad will regroup for Saturday's clash with Manchester City.
"We train every day as a team, and we should expect to play well, whoever plays in the team," said Loftus-Cheek.
"We need to take this loss and turn it around quickly because we have got a tough game on the weekend. We need to analyse the game and move on very quickly.
"The dressing room is very disappointed. This is a period with a lot of games and points at stake, and these are the games we want to take points from. It wasn't to be but we pick our heads up and go again."
