Diouf nets first goal for Sunderland

El Hadji Diouf broke his duck for Sunderland in a 6-0 victory over Irish side Athlone Town.

Manager Roy Keane selected a strong side for the match and they were ahead inside three minutes through Kieran Richardson.

Michael Chopra, who has been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light, then grabbed a brace (11, 64) before Grant Leadbitter fired in a fourth (76).

Diouf got in on the act two minutes from time with a 20-yarder and there was still enough time for Daryl Murphy to intercept a backpass for number six.
