Dijon midfielder Florent Balmont has warned Chelsea over their interest in Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe.

Pepe has been mentioned as a replacement for Eden Hazard.

But former LOSC midfielder Balmont told L'Equipe: "Pepe? He is a player who scores a lot but I think he did not put us too much in danger.

"But he is one of those players who plays a little on instinct. By their speed, they will do things that are not expected. We cannot compare an Eden Hazard with a Nicolas Pépé. There are similarities with the statistics. Now, at the game level, the grip on the game, Eden Hazard was well above.

"A match between the 2011 team and the 2019 team? Aaaah! It could be a good match to watch."
