Eric Dier was full of kind words for Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino in the wake of England's win over Germany on the weekend.
Midfielder Dier, attacking midfielder Dele Alli, striker Harry Kane and left-back Danny Rose all started in Berlin as the Three Lions came from behind to win 3-2.
Dier believes the progression of the quartet from key club players to important international contributors is down to the guidance of Argentine Pochettino who has shown a lot of faith in young players since arriving in England with Southampton a few years back.
"Obviously we have to be thankful for our manager as well, for being able to put us in this position by giving us a chance at our club and improving us," said Dier who scored a late winner for England.
"Obviously us Spurs boys know how lucky we are to have him because he's been brilliant for us.
"He demands a lot of us, always wanting us to improve, always wanting us to be better.
"That's what is able to put us in the position we are now so we're obviously very grateful for him and we want to repay him."
