Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier has paid tribute to Christian Eriksen.

It's emerged the Dane is due to have a medical at Inter Milan on Monday after Spurs accepted an offer yesterday.

For his part, Dier is happy for Eriksen and insists there should be no resentment from fans towards the midfielder.

He said, "There is nothing negative to say about Christian. I've been here almost as long as he has, and he's always done his best.

"He is one of the most professional players I know and one of the best players in Tottenham at a consistent level.

"Whatever he has done, he has done it with the best of intentions, so he has not earned this (fans' jeers)."
