Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has penned a new contract.
Simeone has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2022.
The former Argentina international is the longest-serving current La Liga manager, having been appointed in 2011.
Also a former Atletico player, 48-year-old Simeone led them to the La Liga title in 2014 and has twice won the Europa League with the club.
He stated: "I thank Enrique [Cerezo], Miguel [Gil Marin], Andrea [Berta], I thank all the people of Atletico Madrid for supporting the continuity of this project.
"We expect a future towards the 2022 with great enthusiasm but with many challenges.
"I generated my renewal with Atletico Madrid because of everything that I see in the future.
"I see work, I see people involved to continue growing, I see hope, I see youth that can progress to the first team level.
"If all four legs remain firm we will continue on the same path: fans, leaders, players and the coach.
"The road to continuing is the same as when we started that night in Malaga, thinking just from match to match. And now only Rayo Vallecano."
