Diego Lopez has been named new coach of Brescia.
He replaces Eugenio Corini, who was fired after a run of just two points from the last six games.
Corini had already been dismissed on November 3, but he was recalled on December 2 because replacement Fabio Grosso had lost all three games, failing to score a single goal and conceding 10.
Uruguayan tactician Lopez was a free agent after his contract with Penarol expired in December and had previously been linked with the Genoa job.
Lopez will be joined by assistant manager Michele Fini and fitness coach Francesco Bertini.
He played and coached Cagliari when Brescia president Massimo Cellino was in charge.
