Diego was delighted with Juventus' victory at Shamrock Rovers last week.
Juve won the first-leg of their Europa League qualifier 2-0 in Ireland.
Diego said: "We are coming off a month of very intense work and we deserved this weekend of rest.
"You have seen the fruit of our work in this match away from home. I was very happy for how this game went, also because I participated in both goals.
"Now I hope this is only the first of many victories this season."
