Chelsea are due an extra bonus from their sale of Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid.
Atletico are now set to make the deal permanent, having signed the striker on-loan in January for an initial €5m. However, thanks to Costa's success with Atletico, a further €5m is due on top of the permanent fee negotiated between the two clubs in August.
Altogether, Chelsea will rake in €60m from the sale of Costa: €50m for his permanent fee, plus €5m for the six month loan and a further €5m due in bonuses.
With Antoine Griezmann choosing to stay and Thomas Lemar arriving from AS Monaco, finances are suddenly a lot tighter at Atletico.
