Goalkeeper Diego Altube has been promoted at Real Madrid.

The departure of Andriy Lunin on loan to Real Valladolid means Altube will be Real Madrid's third-choice goalkeeper for the 2019/20 season.

Altube will train regularly with Thibaut Courtois and Keylor Navas, but also played for Real Madrid Castilla. This summer, Luca Zidane left Madrid to join Racing Santander on a season-long loan deal.

When Kiko Casilla was sold to Leeds United in the January transfer window in 2019, Santiago Solari opted to call up Altube. Zinedine Zidane has continued that confidence by taking the young 'keeper on the club's tour to the United States.

Now, with Lunin and Luca out of the picture for this season at least, this will be a chance for Altube to truly demonstrate his quality and to carve out a permanent spot in Real Madrid's squad.
