West Ham United legend Julian Dicks is unsure about an outright deal for Andy Carroll.

England international Carroll, 23, has netted just once for the Hammers since joining on loan from Liverpool.

The Hammers legend told The Sun: "Andy has to do a lot more for West Ham to keep him because he isn't going to come cheap.

"I just think we need someone who can score 20 goals a season - and I really can't see him doing that.

"In terms of his all-round game, he is good enough, but I still expect more from him."
