New Oldham boss Paul Dickov snubbed offers from American clubs to take the reins at Boundary Park. The former Manchester City striker had the option of moving to the MLS in America but has instead signed a one-year deal as player-boss with the Latics.
The 37 year old said: "You could have the car, money and lifestyle but I want to play football and this is the best country in the world to do it.
"It's a fantastic opportunity and it's quite humbling. Look at the other managers who are out of work."
