Diarra will turn down Man Utd to commit to Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra has hinted he wants to remain at the club despite reports he is set to leave.

The 25-year old former Chelsea and Arsenal man has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in January as his first team place at the Santiago Bernabeu is now threatened by the arrival of Sami Khedira. However, Diarra says he is happy to remain a Madrid player and will do so for the near foreseeable future even though reports suggest he could be on his way out when the transfer window reopens.

"I have no comment to make. I am a Real player and all I want to do is to play week in, week out at this club," he said.
