West Ham have confirmed the sale of striker Alessandro Diamanti to Italian side Brescia. The Serie A new boys have paid 1.8million for the 27-year-old, who joined the Hammers a year ago from Livorno.
Another £245,000 will be payable if Brescia secure their top-flight status for another year.
Diamanti scored eight goals in 29 appearances last season, with four coming from the penalty spot.
He made a brief appearance from the bench in the first match of the season against Aston Villa but was keen to move back to his homeland.
