Di Canio: Inter Milan striker Lukaku a pro to ignore Sanremo

Former Lazio captain Paolo di Canio is full of praise for Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.

Di Canio believes Lukaku and coach Antonio Conte are key to Inter being clear at the top of the Serie A table.

He said, "It is never a coincidence. Lukaku was a professional not to go to Sanremo, but I think that Conte also he would have barred the home door.

"He is a player who must represent something more than scoring a goal, but in this moment also having Conte is an added value. After all, one game is enough to call everything into question.

"In the goal (against Atalanta) of 2-1 there is the header of a great footballer, but also the push of a coach who makes him understand that every second is the right one to win the game."

Also on Conte, Di Canio added: "The problems with him have been with the club for some statements, but he has always made a pact of blood with the players."
