France coach Didier Deschamps has again urged Olivier Giroud to leave Chelsea this month.
Blues boss Frank Lampard admitted yesterday the striker could leave, though insisted it would only happen so long as his squad isn't caught short.
Deschamps told Telefoot: "For him, he has to go. He cannot be content to play so little. Even without talking about the French team, it is for him.
"I spoke with Olivier during the last recess. He knows what is good for him. At the moment, he is not happy with the short playing time he has.
"But it's not his fault, he suffered the situation. It is he who will make the decision so that he can have a better sporting condition than in his present club. It's up to him to see the destination he prefers."
