France coach Didier Deschamps is unconcerned over Antoine Griezmann's inconsistent first season with Barcelona.

The attacker's campaign could now be over after a thigh injury was confirmed on Sunday.

Deschamps told RTL: "I don't know the club inside. But, I have not the slightest doubt about what Griezmann is capable of doing or his ability to give to others. It does not worry me.

"Antoine's quality is not disputed. He has the footballing and mental quality for it. He has had a bad time, like others.

“It is the debut season. All players have a period in a year where things are perhaps a little more difficult.

"He has the mentality to deal with it."
