Derby County boss Nigel Clough hopes to sign Liverpool goalkeeper David Martin on an emergency loan today.
The Mirror says Clough hopes to agree a move with his former club for the 24-year-old, who would go straight into the side to face Doncaster tomorrow.
Martin has been on loan at Tranmere and Leeds this season and is relatively inexperienced, but Clough needs to find an available keeper in a hurry.
Clough went for Martin ahead of Wigan's Ghana World Cup keeper Richard Kingson. He also inquired about Notts County's Kasper Schmeichel but he only needs a No.1 for a short period.
