ChampionshipDerby County are in talks with West Bromwich Albion to sign George Thorne. Albion have rejected two bids from the Rams for the 21-year-old midfielder, who spent four months on loan with the Rams last season.
"The club are in talks with Derby and while those negotiations continue it makes sense for him to remain at home," said Baggies head coach Alan Irvine.
"However, if no agreement is reached, George will be flown out to join the rest of the group."
