Derby County are keeping tabs on Kansas City Wizards striker Eddie Johnson.
The Derby Telegraph says a deal for the USA international striker was virtually completed in the summer before the 23-year-old decided not to sign.
Johnson is currently joint top scorer in the MLS with 14 goals and could move to England in January.
