Derby County winger Kris Commons will not arrive at Rangers this winter according to manager Walter Smith.

Following Wednesday night's 2-0 league win over Hibernian, the 'Gers boss revealed that the 27-year old Scotland international would not be on his way to Ibrox anytime soon after losing interest in his services.

"There is nothing in that one, that one's finished with by the looks of things. There is nothing else for us to report on transfers," Smith said.
