Championship side Derby County are in pursuit of out-of-favour Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann, reports the Daily Mail.

According to the report, newly appointed Rams boss Paul Clement wants to make the 23-year old Austrian his first signing since taking the reins at the iPro Stadium.

Weimann has only one year left on his current deal and has been told by Villa boss Tim Sherwood that he can look for other clubs.

Weimann has scored 24 goals in 129 games for the Midlands club.
