Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater is convinced he can break into the England squad next season.
Bywater, who last represented England at Under-21 level, believes the 2007-08 season will provide an opportunity for him to earn a first senior call-up.
He said: "I do not think there is anyone that special out there, if I am being honest.
"I have worked with a few of the lads, like Paul Robinson, Robert Green and Chris Kirkland - and don't get me wrong, they are good goalkeepers - but nobody really stands out for me.
"I just believe if I have a good season or couple of seasons in the top flight, then I will be in contention."
