Derby defender Warnock: Even as a Liverpool fan I get no joy out of Man Utd situation

Derby County defender Stephen Warnock says that despite being a Liverpool fan, he sympathises with the current situation Manchester United are experiencing.

The Red Devils travel to Derby for the fourth round of FA Cup on Friday night and ahead of their visit, Warnock says he takes no joy in what is happening at Old Trafford this season despite the fact he grew up a Liverpool supporter before playing for the Reds earlier in his career.

Warnock said: "I don't get any pleasure out of their current situation - not at all.

"I grew up a Liverpool fan and you look at it now and think it's one of those situations you'd love to have seen as a kid.

"But now when you see it, you understand and realise how hard it is to get out of that situation and how they must be feeling.

"We're the underdogs going into the game and no one expects us to win. All the pressure is on United to get a result."
