More details have emerged of the violent robbery suffered by Derby County defender Andre Wisdom in Liverpool.
The Mirror reports former Liverpool player Wisdom was stabbed in the head and the buttocks by a masked gang who also stole his designer watch in a horrific attack in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police have released more details of the incident which took place in the Beaumont Street area of Toxteth on Merseyside.
Wisdom, 27, had been visiting a family member and was making his way to his car when he was pounced upon by four masked men carrying knives at around 4.30am.
The Derby star has been hospitalised by the attack but his injuries are not understood to be life-threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery.
