Derby County boss Nigel Clough is hoping he can bring in Celtic centre-half Glenn Loovens during the Janaury transfer window.

The Rams manager is desperate to strengthen his defence at the English Championship club and wants the Dutchman on loan for the remainder for the season according to reports.

Loovens has struggled to get regular game time under Neil Lennon and has not played since the League Cup quarter-final win over St Johnstone on October 27 although some of that time has been due to a knee injury which he has almost recovered from.
