Derby County boss Frank Lampard is in talks to sign released Aston Villa captain John Terry.
The Daily Star says Terry has agreed to have another crack at winning Championship promotion with his old Chelsea team-mate.
Lampard took charge of the Rams on Thursday on a three-year deal.
And the ex-England midfielder was immediately asked about a possible reunion with his ex-Stamford Bridge captain and close friend JT.
The 39-year-old said: “I had conversations with him this season about how he was getting on and about the Championship. He will definitely be there for me. We are close."
However, Terry will be taking a significant pay cut on the £60,000-a-week he earned at Villa Park.
