Derby County have confirmed the signing of Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinnie on a pre-contract agreement.

The 27-year-old central midfielder will join the Rams once this season is over.

Frank Lampard's side could still win promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs.

Lampard told the club's website: "He's someone we've watched very closely and we think he will fit into our squad with his ability, attitude and characteristics."
